Delete my data

You can have everything removed. No form to argue with, no retention offer, and you do not have to say why.

From the app

Sign in at app.preplift.in, open the parent area behind your PIN, and choose to delete the account. You will be asked to confirm once, because it cannot be undone.

By email

Write to privacy@preplift.in from the address or with the phone number on the account. We may ask one question to confirm it is you — deleting a child’s account on the word of someone who is not their parent would be its own failure.

What happens, and when

• Straight away: the account stops working and nobody can sign into it.
• Within 7 days: a grace period, so an accidental or angry deletion can be undone by writing to us. Nothing new is collected during it.
• After 7 days: the account and the child’s learning history are permanently deleted. Homework photographs, questions asked, answers given, progress, and the record of what they found difficult all go.
• Backups: deleted copies age out of our encrypted backups within 30 days. They are not restored or read in the meantime.

Homework photographs

These are deleted on their own schedule whether or not you ask: a photograph is removed 90 days after it was sent. Deleting the account removes any that are still within that window immediately.

What we keep, and why

A minimal record that a deletion request was made and completed, and any transaction records we are required by law to retain. These contain no homework, no questions, and nothing about what your child was learning. We cannot delete them without breaking the law that requires them.

Exporting first

If you want a copy of your child’s progress before it goes, ask at privacy@preplift.in and we will send it within 5 business days. Deletion waits until you have it.
