Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of PrepLift — both the WhatsApp service and the web platform at preplift.in. By sending us a message or creating an account, you accept them.

1. Who may use PrepLift

PrepLift is built for school students, which means most of our users are children. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and consent to our processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy. By continuing, you confirm that consent exists.

A parent or guardian is responsible for their child’s use of the service and for any charges on the account.

2. Your account

On WhatsApp, your phone number is your account — there is no password to manage. Anyone with access to that number can see the conversation, so treat the phone as you would any device holding your data. On the web platform you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.

3. What the service is, and is not

PrepLift is a study aid. It explains how to solve school questions in the format Indian boards expect. It is not:

  • a substitute for your teacher or your school;
  • a guarantee of any mark, grade or exam result;
  • affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to CBSE, CISCE, NCERT, any State board, or WhatsApp;
  • a general-purpose chat service — it answers school questions only.

4. Honest use

Your school decides what help is acceptable in work you submit, and those rules are yours to follow. Homework mode exists precisely so the working stays yours: it gives hints rather than answers. We are not responsible for academic consequences of how the service is used.

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything other than school work;
  • attempt to extract answers to a live, invigilated examination;
  • resell, rebroadcast or bulk-scrape the service or its output;
  • attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer it;
  • send content that is unlawful, or that harms or endangers a child.

We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken, and where a child may be at risk we will act on that before anything else.

5. AI-generated content

Solutions are produced by AI models and can be wrong. We do not promise accuracy or completeness, and you should verify anything that matters with your teacher or textbook. Where the system is not confident it tells you so — please take that seriously when it appears.

You may use the solutions we send for your own study. We claim no ownership over the questions you send us.

6. Free questions, payment and renewal

New users get a set number of free questions. After that, continued use requires a subscription, priced and described at the point of purchase. Follow-up questions about an answer you already received are not charged.

Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor; we never see or store your card or UPI details. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. A subscription runs for the stated period and does not auto-renew unless the checkout said so and you agreed to it.

7. Messages we send you

We may send a short weekly reminder, and — where a parent’s number has been provided — a weekly summary to that parent. Reply stop at any time to end reminders. Standard WhatsApp and carrier terms apply to messages you send and receive.

8. Cancellation and refunds

See the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The PrepLift name, software, curriculum mapping and platform are ours. NCERT and board textbook content referenced by the service remains the property of its respective owners; chapter names are used descriptively to identify syllabus topics and imply no endorsement.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. It depends on third parties — WhatsApp, AI providers, payment processors — and any of them can fail. Where an outage materially prevents use of a paid subscription, contact us and we will make it right.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including exam results or academic outcomes. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Ending access

You may stop using PrepLift at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, for suspected fraud, or where we must to protect a user.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the WhatsApp chat or by email, and continued use afterwards means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
